DATA WAREHOUSE

Trying to make sense of your corporate enterprise data?
More than 60 percent of U.S. companies (according to Gartner Group) are shifting their corporate reporting away from enterprise applications as the focus for measuring, monitoring, and managing business activities and processes.

Instead companies are investing in Business Intelligence (BI) Systems like data warehouses, data marts and data mining software. These applications deliver on-line analytical programs (OLAP) to financial, sales and marketing analysts who create their own reports without the intervention of an I.T. Department - saving millions in system administration and development expense.

Yet buyer beware! These projects can quickly spin out of control for even the most seasoned technology professionals due to changing user requirements, executive sponsorships and the change management issues in trying to get a user to actually USE your new reporting system. We've included some information below to you make sense of the technology. For further information, click the Contact Us! button above.

Siebel’s Analytics Push
For a long time, pre-packaged analytics have been a tough sell, probably because they almost always required a lot of customization. This trend could be changing, however, as the major enterprise application vendors continue to flesh out their own analytic offerings. One vendor, in particular, has made significant progress in this regard: CRM giant Siebel.

BI Vendors Get Failing Grade on Pricing
Like all software vendors, business intelligence providers typically focus on fleshing out their new product releases with features and functions a-go-go. But instead of packing in new enhancements, many customers say they should concentrate on making their software more affordable-and provide better service once it's been sold.
